A mother of two who was living on the 24th floor of the Grenfell Tower decided to film her attempt to escape from the inferno
The woman and her two children are missing and her friend and family are not able to get a hold of her, Daily Mail reports.
30-year-old Rania Ibrham was doing some housework when she noticed the building was littered with flames.
According to the British publication, Rania was not able to make her way out of the tower and when she realized there’s not much she can do, the woman decided to record the entire scene.
The woman opened the door and filmed the hall of the building filled with dense smoke.
The clip also gripped the voice of a woman who was desperately screaming for help.
In the images, the woman screams for help and ignores the advice of a neighbor to keep the door shut.
“The whole building is on fire and we are stuck on the upper floors. How are we going to get out?”, Rania says.
Minutes after the live Facebook transmission, Rania, and her toddlers disappeared in the chaos.
“Her husband was in Egypt, but he returned as soon as he heard what had happened.
Rania has reached a lower floor, at the apartment of another friend. However, now Rania, her children, and my friend are missing “, revealed one of the survivors.
According to Daily Mail, more than 120 apartments were destroyed by the bursting flames and the building seems like it’s on the verge to collapse.
The fire broke out during the night and the locals who managed to make their way out confessed they were asleep when the loud screams and the strong smell aroused them.
At one point, a woman with six children who lived on the 21st floor struggled to escape, but when she reached the ground floor, two of the toddlers got lost along the way.
