Italy: woman leaves 16-months-old to die in hot car, while she leaves to work

The one-year-old died locked in the car, bearing the excessive heat for so many hours

According to the local newspaper, the 38-year-old mother was on her way to work when she forgot to stop by the kindergarten to leave her daughter.

The tragedy occurred in the Arezzo province, Tuscany and the woman simply drove to work, leaving the child in the vehicle without realizing that she is in there.

She entered the building and, meanwhile, her child spent five hours suffocating, dehydrating and, eventually, giving her last breath in the car at 30 degrees Celsius because the mother was 100% convinced she left her at the daycare.

The poor child was discovered by a police officer who was patrolling in the area.

He alerted a medical unit, but until they arrived at the scene, the girl died.

A couple of days before the fatal negligence, the woman and the father of her child celebrated three years of marriage.

Now, the woman is charged with murder and child neglect.

Her baby’s body will be summoned to an autopsy to discover the exact cause of her death, though most doctors believe she suffered a heart attack caused by the suffocating temperature.
