The Ivorian football player Emmanuel Eboue, aged 33, confessed that the one-year suspension that he was submitted to in spring because of his eye-popping debts to his former manager led him to think about committing suicide.

“There are many days when I feel that it is pointless to get out of bed. One day, I wanted to kill myself. The family keeps me strong, but I’m afraid to think what would have happened to me if I was alone. There are days that lie in my bed alone. I lock the door and think. I spend more time reading the Bible and say to myself: Emmanuel, why do this? Is not good for your family. My son Mathis is seven years old and plays at Academy of Arsenal. Every time I go to see him, people ask me what is happening and the situation is getting worse.<<  Emmanuel, are you retired? >>. So I have to explain the situation, which makes me depressed. All those who know me may notice that I am not happy. It’s the worst period of my career, is a difficult time”, confessed Eboue for the Daily Telegraph.

In March, Eboue was suspended by FIFA due to the debts to his former agent, Sebastien Boisseau and he was immediately fired by the English club Sunderland.

Emmanuel Eboue was brought to Europe KSK Beveren after he evolved for Arsenal and Galatasaray. After leaving the Turkish club, Eboue was on the list of transfers of Star.

Internationally, Eboue played 78 matches and scored three goals for the national team in Ivory Coast.
