Assassin’s Creed – premiere January 6
Desmond Miles rediscovers the ancient line of professional assassins who he is drawn from after being kidnapped by an organization whose origins are related to the secret ancient society of the Templar Knights. He turns back in time to recover a number of important artifacts with a great historical value.
Juste la fin du monde- premiere January 6
After 12 years of absence, Louis, a young writer, returns home to announce his relatives about his imminent death. There’s a tense family reunion, where any attempt of empathy is sabotaged by the people’s inability to listen and to love.
Live by Night – premiere January 13
Joe Coughlin, son of Boston’s police inspector, gave up to the rigors of the law and enjoyed the benefits brought by a life of crimes and thefts.
But even among the outlaws, there are some unwritten rules and Joe violates the most important of them: stealing the mistress and money of the most dangerous mobster. His movement ends tragically, taking him on a path of vengeance and pride, directly into the heart of the Tampa mafia.
Jackie – premiere January 13
The film follows the drama of the First Lady of the United States in the four days after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, in 1963, in Dallas. That was a time that Jackie described as losing the love of her life, but winning the love of an entire nation.
The Return of Xander Cage – premiere January 20
Xander Cage is forced out of his self-imposed exile to start a life and death race, following Xiang’s footsteps to snatch from his hands a weapon named ‘Pandora’s Box’ which, once activated, can not be stopped, and threatens to destroy the world as we know it.
Split – premiere January 27
Kevin, a man with at least 23 different personalities, comes to kidnap three young girls. During the captivity of girls, the ‘Beast’, Kevin’s last personality begins to crystallize.
