Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama, born January 17, 1964, is the wife of the forty-fourth President of the United States of America, Barack Obama.

Michelle Robinson was born and raised in south Chicago and graduated Princeton University and Harvard Law School. After graduation, she returned to Chicago, where she accepted a job in Sidley Austin law firm, before marrying Barack Obama.

Later on, Mrs. Obama worked as part of the administration of Chicago city hall and Chicago University.

During 2007 and 2008, she helped her husband in his presidential campaign. She even delivered a short speech before the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado, 2008.

Mrs. Obama is a mother of two daughters, Malia and Sasha, and the sister of Craig Robinson, basketball coach at Oregon State University.

Some of her appearances during Obama’s administration were highly fashionable, iconic and are definitely worth remembering.

Her unbeatable style will for sure make her go down in history as America’s most stylish first lady.

From 2008 to today, Michelle has given the international press numberless occasions to comment on her outfits.

‘She will be remembered, certainly, for the way she used fashion as a form of communication’, stated the fashion critic Robin Givhan.

‘In many ways, she has shown us that power can be pretty’, said the fashion journalist Kate Betts.

‘Women can dress for themselves and write their own rules when it comes to their wardrobes. They don’t have to dress to fit into some subscribed code or some pre-existing notion of what power looks like’, she added.
