The Syrian Army has already taken control of 96% of Aleppo.

Today, the government forces cleared another five city districts. The number of bandits laying down arms has exceeded to 2.000 people.

Reports say that over 100.000 peaceful citizens have fled the city during the recent days.

40.000 of these, 100,000 are children.

The Syrian Army assault unit began its final offensive against the combatants’ positions located in the southern end of the eastern Aleppo.

Now, the artillery and machine gun divisions are trying to take the fighters positioned at the front line by storm.

The militants are still showing fierce resistance and firing at the front line troops. Those are the radicals who have refused to surrender and leave eastern Aleppo.

Basically, the combatants are still fighting at the frontline because they have nothing to lose. There is activity all across the front line. Command expects to complete the liberation of Syria’s largest city in a few days.

Government forces can plan their attack only after the soldiers have spent a day establishing control over several quarters both in the old city and on the outskirts of Aleppo.

The combatants fled the southernmost district of Aleppo. Both Sheikh Saeed and the neighboring district are now under the control of government forces.

There is active combat next to the stadium right now and only around 1.000 fighters are putting up resistance in Aleppo.

The militants could not withstand the fire of both artillery and tanks, giving ground to shore up their defenses.

During their retreat, they lost some men mortars and cars. At the same time, the Syrian side is still enduring losses of its own. Evacuating the wounded took several hours as the militants denied access to the soldiers. Here is a warehouse where militants made their own explosives.

Due to a lack of accuracy, these homemade bombs exploded mostly in Aleppo’s civilian districts.

A volunteer from the Al-Quds Brigade shows us a hangar where the radicals produced homemade explosive devices. In those premises, the bandits made the IED’s for cars which were stuffed with explosives.

Radical suicide bombers use them to organize breaks in the front line of defense.

Now Syrian soldiers have more freedom to act as the districts where the fighters are located have been emptied of their peaceful inhabitants. Tens of thousands were able to flee because government forces suspended combat operations several days ago.

The Islamists no longer have any hostages.
