Worrying news came from Germany not long time ago: an Iraqi boy of only 12-years-old is a prime suspect in the latest terrorist attack.
Local media have reported that the teenager tried to blow up a bomb at a Christmas market in a city located in the Western Germany, but the detonator he improvised did not work.
Someone reported having seen a suspicious bag, hidden under a Christmas tree and announced the authorities sent sappers in the area who defused the artisanal device.
The suspected child who prepared this terrorist plot in Germany was born and raised in an Iranian family.
The police believe he was contacted by an ISIS militant who gave him the necessary instructions. The incident occurred on November 26, but the authorities have just confirmed it today.
The police identified and arrested the boy, who is now in a juvenile detention center. The Federal Public Prosecutor had taken over this bombing case, on charges of ‘a serious act of violent subversion’.
The bomb was to be launched at a Christmas market in the western town of Ludwigshafen, Germany.
The boy was thought to be ‘strongly radicalized’ and was pushed to blow the bomb by an unknown IS member.
Previously, Kemnitz German city was closed last Saturday due to a bomb threat.
The cops have restricted the circulation and closely checked the area. They evacuated the residents as a precaution measure.
They could not find any suspects. According to Reuters, the police started the operation because they suspected that some unknown persons are preparing a bomb attack.
