We love it when carmakers picture things aside from the roads and come up with smart projects that, ultimately, make their businesses flourish.

Coming up with an ingenious marketing strategy allows car producers to reach a higher audience and of course, to increase their sales.

That was also the case of Lexus.

Bearing this thought in their heads, Lexus designers created a car with 42 000 LEDs that light up following the rhythm of the music.

‘Lexus LIT IS’ is a special edition car model and it is only available for exhibition.

The LED lights can be programmed to display various things, such as pictures, paintings and, why not, in the near future, a live football game.

The car was conceived in collaboration with the video streaming system, Vevo. Their main objective was to promote Dua Lipa’s video ‘Be the One’, as Gizmodo stated.

This car would be the top choice of people who enjoy being the focus of people’s attention, but on the roads, the ‘lighter’ would represent a major distractor.

‘Lexus LIT IS’ comes with a ‘Music Viz’ mode, designed to replay to music, which allows the LEDs to create custom moves as a response to the beats.

The car has another interesting feature, entitled ‘Gesture mode’, which enables the driver or any other passenger in the car to control the motion of the LED lights through a gaming console to create an astonishing ‘fireworks’ show.

For sure, this can be very useful for those who get bored quickly while stuck in traffic jams.
