The creation of Steve Jobs and world famous architect Lord Norman Foster, Apple Campus 2 is an upcoming structure being built in the city of Cupertino, California.

Jobs worked on the project up until his death in 2011 and even spoke of it in his last public appearance.

“It’s got a gorgeous courtyard in the middle, and a lot more. It’s a circle, so it’s curved all the way round. This is not the cheapest way to build something. Every pane of glass in the main building will be curved. I really do think that architecture students will come here to see it.”

The office building has the shape of a perfect circle, with walkways on both the inner and outer rims. There will be 8 buildings separated by 9 atria, all integrated together in one circular building. It will have only glass windows, with a grassy verdant area in the middle, with searing areas for employees. This inner courtyard will have a size of 30 acres.

The building will include many facilities, seven cafes, a 1000 seat auditorium for product launches and press conferences, a 100,00 square foot wellness center, a R&D facility and a visitor center.

The whole building will run on renewable energy, being expected to be one of the most efficient in the world. It will have a mix of natural gas, solar power and bio-fuel energy sources.

The building is expect to be finished sometime next year, making real the last dream that Steve Jobs had.
