The London club is the first on the table, seven points ahead of Manchester City with just half the season remaining. When he in an interview on BBC Radio 5 live, right after the latest Blues victory over Bournemouth, which was their 12^th league victory in a row, Robbie Savage said he cannot perceive another team being a challenger and that Chelsea is the sure winner of this year’s competition.

“Give them the trophy now, I can’t see anyone catching them,” he said during the interview. “Great defense and great attacking play. They can play all styles, they break teams down.”

Robbie Savage, who is a former international midfielder for Wales, said that Chelsea was very good at breaking teams that set up defensively against them, as he pointed out the match with West Brom earlier this month, in which they had six defenders at times during the match and Chelsea still won with 1-0.

Chelsea can tie the record performed by Arsenal in 2002 of 14 games without a loss by beating Stoke on 31^st of December and then Tottenham, on the prestigious White Hart Lane on January 4^th.

They will also meet current champions Leicester and tittle opposition Liverpool this January.

Robert James Savage, born 8 January 1960 is an English footballer who played as a midfielder in the Football League for Wrexham, Stoke City, Bournemouth, Bradford City and Bolton Wanderers. In 2006 Savage was working with Tranmere Rovers’ Football in the Community scheme.
