Real Madrid: banned to make transfers this winter

Real Madrid has been banned from making any transfers during this winter.

The penalty will expire in the summer of 2017, according to the Court of Sports Arbitration in Lausanne (CSA).

Real Madrid, the latest winner of the World Cup, was penalized for multiple illegalities committed when transferring minors.

The Arbitration Court has softened the initial sanction, imposed by the world forum.

’The revised decision now shows the incorrectness of FIFA officials’, commented Real Madrid.

FIFA has condemned the football teams Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in September 2015 for law infringement concerning the players aged under 18 years.

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid were banned from transfers for two stages, excepting the current one, as FIFA announced in a statement.

Both Spanish football clubs were penalized for irregularities in the registration of minor players.

Given the fact that they will not be able to make any transfers until the summer of 2017, Madrid officials are obliged to rethink their strategies.

It is possible that by the end of the month, the two teams will try their best to strengthen their strategies, concerning the fact that they will not be able to come up with spectacular transfers anymore.

Meanwhile, both Real and Atletico have a large number of players ’borrowed’ from other football teams. They can safely return to their teams and can take advantage of FIFA sanction to impose themselves in front of Madrid.

Thus, the list of players who may get a chance at Real includes: Marco Asensio (Espanyol), Fabio Coentrao (Monaco), Lucas Silva (Marseille), Omar Mascarell (Gijon), Alvaro Medran (Getafe), Burgos (Espanyol) Jesus Vallejo (Zaragoza), Diego Llorente (Rayo Vallecano) and Raul Tomas (Cordoba).

Some of them already have significant experience in the first Spanish division.
