Drake had an amazing 2016. Now, he has one more thing to add to his list of successes.
He just beat Lil’ Wayne on the Billboard Hot 100 list as he has the most appearances as a solo artist.
His Gucci Mane “Both’’ appearance is what guaranteed him the record win. The song was on the hot 100 list, on number 41, which marked Drake’s 132nd time on the chart.
Drake did not only exceed Lil’ Wayne but big music personalities as well. Elvis Presley has only 108 marks on the chart, James Brown has 91 and Jay-Z only 86. The chart is 58 years old and was created two years after Presley’s career as a solo artist began.
Even though Drake and Lil’ Wayne occupy a great position on the chart, they have not yet beaten Glees’ top spot. The former Fox show has no more than 207 marks on the chart.
Drake’s year has been a great one. The artist scored multiple successes. His album, “Views”, got many streaming and chart records. His hit song, “One dance”, was in the first spot for 14 weeks and became Spotify’s first track to ever reach one billion streams. Also, the song was named the song of the summer of 2016.
Amongst his career success, Drake had a pretty interesting love life as well. After touring and dating the Barbados singer, Rihanna, there are rumors of a romance between him and the beautiful Latina, Jennifer Lopez. The two even posted a photo of them on social media, sign that the things between them are getting serious.
