Israel: Foreign Intelligence Service Chairman Yossi Cohen, Bribed with Tickets for Mariah Carey"s Show?

The head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Israel (Mossad), Yossi Cohen, became the subject of an investigation of illegal benefits.

According to Israeli newspaper Haaretz, the Aussie entrepreneur James Packer ‘gifted’ Yossi Cohen with thousands of dollars concert tickets to Mariah Carey’s show.

The Public Service Commission is still checking the allegations in which Yossi Cogen, allegedly, received for free the tickets.

Australian Station Channel 10 claims that the Israeli official was also invited in a luxury penthouse located in a hotel from Tel Aviv, in which the Australian billionaire had unrestricted access. The same accommodation was occasionally used by Benjamin Netanyahu’s son, Yair.

The National Commission will determine whether the gifts or favors provided by Packer are, in fact, illegal benefits.

At that time, Cohen was the head of the National Security Council and from since, he was designated as the new director of Mossad.

Last month, Channel 10 revealed that the Israeli official has received from Packer seven tickets to a concert by Mariah Carey held last year.

Cohen’s version is now verified by the National Commission and the result of the investigation will be published soon.

Journalists from Channel 10 stated that Yossi Cohen failed to respond to comment regarding the accusations against him.

Another source added that James Packer plans to obtain a residence permit in Israel.
