Easier, more flexible and with incorporate touchscreens.

This is the description of the newest spacesuit, specially designed for American astronauts.

Just a few days ago, Boeing has released its newest space costume and unveiled the first pictures of the prototype.

The suit is 40% easier and more flexible to wear than the one that is currently used by NASA’s astronauts.

The space gloves were specially created to be used on touch screens.

Also, the shoes are offering high adhesion shoes that allow feet airing.

The zips incorporated on the back area will allow the astronauts to pass easily from a standing position to sitting in their seats.

The helmet has a large viewfinder which offers a better peripheral vision.

Crew Space Transportation (CST) – 100 Starliner is a capsule developed by Boeing in partnership with NASA. The vehicle can transport seven passengers.

Starliner can be reused 10 times before being replaced. Also, it will conduct the following missions for NASA. The first flight into space will take place in 2018.

The American special missions will restart next year.

The United States will send people into space again, after a break of seven years.

In addition to the latest technology, the costumes will draw attention by their blue color.

‘A traditional costume weighed 15 kg. Our suit now has only six kilograms’, stated the head designer of the team.

Although it is simpler and easier, the new spacesuit makes no compromises when it comes to safety.

‘However, we needed a tight suit that can withstand pressure differences and that can bring the crew back safely even in extreme conditions’, added the official.
