The American President, Donald Trump, and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, are supposed to be engaged in their first phone call this Saturday.
Kremlin’s spokesman made this announcement on Friday morning, as AFP transmitted.
When Peskov was asked about the possibility of Putin calling Trump, as CNN had previously announced, his answer was ‘yes’.
According to TASS, that quoted the same spokesman, the phone call is programmed for this Saturday, January 28th.
In an interview given to Fox News on Thursday, the newest American President, Donald Trump, stated that he will soon have the possibility of discussing with Vladimir Putin.
‘He called me when I won the elections. But, we haven’t talked yet personally’, was Trump’s declaration.
They will, very soon.
Putin and Trump first talked with each other on the phone in November 2016, shortly after the businessman’s victory in the Presidential elections of November 8th.
The main subject of their conversation was the need to normalize the relations between Moscow and Washington, especially affected by the Ukrainian crisis.
While the presidential campaign was evolving, Donald Trump had been accused by her rival, the Democrat Hillary Clinton, that the businessman is nothing more but Putin’s puppet on strings.
With less than a month before Barack Obama was supposed to leave the White House, the former President adopted a series of severe measures against Moscow.
The allegations that were brought to Russia by the American Presidential Office were linked to influencing the US election campaign in favor of Donald Trump.
In his turn, Trump had repeatedly praised Vladimir Putin’s leadership qualities and even said he wanted to have a very good relationship with him.
