Pope Francis confessed that sometimes he falls asleep while praying

However, he motivates the bad habit by claiming this was a really common thing among the world’s most worshipped saints.

“When I pray, sometimes I fall asleep. Saint Teresa was also going through the same thing”, revealed the pontiff for TV2000.

At the age of 80, the Pontiff is always full of energy and smiling whenever he reunites with his believers, but when he is praying, he is very serious and without realizing he closes the eyes and falls asleep.

Pope Francis falls asleep every evening at 21.00 and wakes at 4.00.

According to a Vatican source, after lunch, the Pontiff sovereign takes a nap.  Pope Francis is more popular than any other Catholic world leader, according to a poll conducted by WIN / Gallup International in March.

Francis is the 266th Pontiff Sovereign

Born December 17, 1936, in Buenos Aires, Jorge Mario Bergoglio was a Jesuit priest between 1960 and 1992, a bishop between 1992 and 2001 and a cardinal from 2001 to 2013.

Pope Francis is the first Latin American to lead the Catholic Church and also the first Jesuit, the BBC writes.

The former Cardinal of Buenos Aires was initially considered an inappropriate choice for this role when he was proposed to occupy the seat of Benedict XVI, who withdrew from the office in 2013.

Considered as Orthodox in matters of gender and abortion, but liberal about social justice, its investment was well received by both conservatives and reformists.

In 2013, Pope Francis was designated by Time magazine as the personality of the year.

In 2016, Pope Francis remained involved in the modern age.
