For the first time in the history of the American brand, the Victoria’s Secret 2017 Fashion Show has moved to China.

The new lingerie collection was officially launched in Shanghai, where 55 top models from 20 different countries strutted on the impressive catwalk.

Among them, we had the occasion to spot Brazilian model Alessandra Ambrosio, who marked her last appearance into one of Victoria’s Secret shows.

Her colleagues, Adriana Lima, Lais Ribeiro and Alessandra Ambrosio, Portuguese Sara Sampaio, South African Candice Swanepoel, Swedish Elsa Hosk or American Bella Hadid, Lily Aldridge and Karlie Kloss left their guests with the mouths wide-open after they appeared in the skimpiest pieces of lingerie with the most toned and healthy-looking bodies.

This year, the honor of wearing the $2 million worth Fantasy Bra has fallen to new angel Lais Ribeiro, who strutted on the podium in the unique piece encrusted with diamonds and sapphires.

The show also featured top Spanish model Blanca Padilla, who wore the angel wings for the second time this year.

A record number of models in China were spotted on the podium, including Liu Wen, the country’s best-paid star.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have the chance to see Gigi Hadid, as confirmed a few days ago by the American model herself on her Twitter account.

Although there was no official explanation, the reason seems to be the broadcast of a clip in which the young woman can be seen holding a biscuit, making an impersonation of Buddha and narrowing her eyes to mimic his features.

Even singer Katy Perry refused to participate in the show, after in 2015, the artist wore a tattooed dress in Taiwan, considered a symbol of Taiwan’s separatists.

The show will be televised on November 28 and will be seen in 190 countries.

The show is expected to exceed, or at least equal, last year’s audience, which was 1.4 billion viewers.
