Prince Harry and Meghan Markle offered their first official interview as a couple, on Monday after they revealed their plans to get married in the spring of 2018.

Prince Harry confessed that he fell in love with the American actress Meghan Markle immediately after he saw her for the first time, becoming “overwhelmed by the beauty of the actress.”

The Prince also revealed that he had not heard of Meghan before their blind date.

“I’m very excited”, revealed the Prince.

The 36-year-old American actress, excited and a little bit nervous, showed off her beautiful engagement ring.

The actress also revealed that her fiancée designed the ring made out of yellow gold and three huge diamonds.

Two of the precious gems belonged to Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.

The freshly engaged couple made their first public appearance as a couple in front of the Kensington Palace, where they attended to a brief photo shoot, while their first interview was made public as soon as they made the official announcement.

The actress told her that she met Harry in July 2016 through a common friend, who believed they will hit it off just fine.

Prince Harry said that if Princess Diana met Meghan “she would have been very excited about her and probably would have been her best friend.”

Meghan Markle will become the second divorced American to enter into the royal family after Wallis Simpson, for whom King Edward VIII had to abdicate in 1936.

Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip, welcomed the news on Monday morning.

“The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are delighted by the new couple and wish them happiness”, says a British Royal House communiqué.
