The CIA reports related to Adolf Hitler’s mysterious appearance in Colombia, shortly after the World War II, were brought up once again along with the files related to JFK’s assassination.

The American intelligence services have investigated the only lead, but without proving the Nazi leader was hiding in the Latin American country.

Shortly after that lead was eliminated from the investigation, the US authorities started to analyze the rumors related to Hitler’s survival and the fact that he is actually living in Colombia.

Euronews reports these documents have been published for years but brought up to light these days in the context of the publication of those 2.800 secret documents related to the assassination of US President John F. Kennedy in 1963.

According to a note, there was an information about a man who lived in Colombia and “looked so much like Adolf Hitler”.

Phillip Citroen, a former SS member and co-founder of the Maracaibo Times, told the CIA that he met the Nazi dictator in a place called the Residencies Coloniales, in the city of Tunja, Colombia, a place he described as “overcrowded with former German Nazis “.

According to Citroen, the Germans who live in Tunja followed the Nazi leader.

To prove his claims, Citroën showed the CIA agents a photograph from 1954 with him and the alleged Adolf Hitler.

The US intelligence service was skeptical about these “pieces of evidence”, cataloging them as “fantasies”.
