Jennifer Lopez talks about her split from Ben Affleck during joint interview with new beau A-Rod

2003 was a really tough year for Jennifer Lopez, after the movie in which she played the leading role, Gigli, was crushed by most movie critics and her engagement with former flame Ben Affleck was canceled in a very public way.

Although she was never very open about the experience, even though everyone knows that she loved Ben so hard, she took the courage to confess what she felt during that time only now.

In the December issue of Vanity Fair, J.Lo revealed, among other things, that she suffered from a very low self-esteem.

“I lost trust in myself, I was wondering if I belong to this industry. I felt like I am not good at anything. My relationship degraded me in front of the whole world”, revealed the beautiful Latina in the joint interview with her new beau Alex Rodriguez.

“It took me two years to get myself together and get it over”, adds Jennifer, who was dumped by Ben Affleck days before the wedding.

Shortly after the news related to their engagement started to spread, the press blamed Lopez.

As we know, Bennifer, as they were called in those days, engaged in November 2002.

Their wedding was supposed to take place in September 2003, but it was canceled one day before the ceremony.

In the end, it did not take place, and in January 2004 the two announced their official separation.
