UK accused of veiling a missed nuclear missile test

The British Newspaper Sunday Times revealed in yesterday’s edition that the British government has hidden the existence of a missed nuclear missile test in 2016.

Just a few weeks ago before a decisive vote in the parliament regarding the renewal of the nuclear program, an Amerian missile accidentally headed towards the US.

In July 2016, a British submarine carried a missile loaded with a nuclear charge in the Atlantic Ocean, near the coast of the American stated Florida.

Immediately after the launching took place, the Trident II D5 missile, that could have killed millions of people, stopped responding to commands and headed to the US.

Fortunately, the missile reached the ocean, as the British military sources confirmed.

Apparently, the causes of the incident remained secret.

Theresa May’s government decided to hide the information regarding the failure of the ballistic missile.

This happened just a few weeks before the vote of the House of Commons concerning the Trident system.

Immediately after the test, Theresa May officially transmitted that the royal navy forces’ test has successfully come to an end.

According to the official declaration, the unarmed Trident missile, was launched aboard HMS Vengeance submarine during a certification operation.

‘The submarine and the crew have been successfully certificated, allowing the return to an operational level. We have faith in our capacity of nuclear dissuasion.

After the press release appeared, the House of Commons approved the building of four submarines, equipped with Trident missile.

The Prime Minister refused to say whether he was aware of this incident of not, at the time of the vote.
