A Chinese woman, aged 92, was held in a pigsty

Reporters say that a son and his wife held his mother, who is 92 years old, in a pigsty for many years. The images resurfaced on the internet and people are mad.

The woman, named Yang is from the Guangxi region. Reports say that she was held in a 10 square meters’ cell and slept on a wooden bench.

The images feature a very skinny Yang. People are disappointed and mad about the cruelty. In the past months, many such situations, of children neglecting their elders, have made it to the internet.

The question everybody has in mind is whether the guilty ones will be punished for their actions or not.

A woman from the village saw the inhuman conditions in which Yang was held. She took a video of the 92-year-old. “How could you make her live in here? And not give her food?”, said the neighbor who could not believe what she just saw.

The video was posted on January 6 and since then more than 1.8 million people have seen it.

Since then, her son, Wu, responded to the claims and said that his mother moved in the pigsty because she wanted to. Because she did not want to bother or because she “was worried about making the house smell”, Yang chose to do this.

The police are investigating the case. If Yang confirms that she moved from her own accord there, then Wu and his wife won’t face charges.

Cases like this also made it to the internet. In November, a man was spotted eating rubbish on the streets as he did not want to burden his daughter.

A 70-year-old woman was seen selling vegetables during a cold night to help her child buy a house.
