American professional baller Blake Griffin is constantly making waves in the Hollywood world.
After he executively produced an animated motion picture for Fox, the Clippers All-Star is currently testing his producing abilities to the silver screen.
According to American publication Variety, Griffin, well knownCarolina Panthers and Ryan Kalil are creating a remake of the well-known basketball movie “White Men Can’t Jump.”
The screenplay for the remake is being compiled by Kenya Barris, who came up with with the award-winning program “Black-ish.”
Kenya Barris, the author of ABC’s praised comedy Black-ish, is joining Blake Griffin’s team and Ryan Kalil of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers to produce a remake of the 1992 comedy for 20th Century Fox.
Barris will create the script and the movie will be produced by Fox. Barris will also produce.
It should be mentioned that Griffin is creating the film and is not appearing in it. But considering that the movie is about basketball, it would be quite strange for him not to make at least one cameo.
Griffin performs for the Los Angeles Clippers – but he is currently off due to a knee injury.
His friend, Kalil is playing for Carolina Panthers. The duo is part of a production company called Mortal Media. They are also planning a reboot for The Rocketeer, centered around a black female protagonist.
