The beloved dog of the Obamas, Sunny, bit a girl visiting the White House, reports say.
While a friend of the family was on visit on Monday, the dog bit the girl. She needed stitches after that and will probably have a scar in the future. She was treated by Obama’s doctors right away.
The girl is 18 years old and all she wanted to do is pet the 4-year-old dog. The picture of the girl’s wound was posted by a site.
“She’s gonna be okay, but we’re told she’ll likely have a small scar … which upset her. She posted various pics of the injury and her visit to Dr. Jackson on social media,” says TMZ.
The Obama family has one more dog, that is older than Sunny. Bo is eight years old and a Portuguese Water Dog, just like Sunny.
This is the first time the dog is involved in something like that, as she never hurt nobody. She is usually really loving and calm, so it was really uncharacteristic of her.
The dog is groomed every month and has never been violent. About five people are implied in the process and she had never shown a sign of aggression.
Back in 2013, Sunny jumped on a kid at a party, but only to lick his face. He was fine, with no injury.
There are laws in various states that punishes dogs and owners only at the second bite. The Obamas are going to ensure that Sunny does not repeat biting people, or both them and the dog could get in trouble.
