BlackBerry Mercury, which will be part of a new generation of devices, created together with TCL Communications, is close to being revealed.

A long-term licensing agreement was signed between the two companies so that TCL to handle the design, production, sales and technical support for the new BlackBerry.

Shortly before CES 2017, TCL promised to reveal a new BlackBerry phone that comes with a new vision of the brand, which will be reflected in the next generation of phones.

The next phone, BlackBerry Mercury, will benefit from the well-known physical QWERTY keyboard, but it will also include the curved edges and navigation buttons integrated into the display.

In addition, the’ Space’ key on the physical keyboard will benefit from a fingerprint scanner for added security.

Previous rumors about the new phone, which will most likely be the DTEK70 model or Mercury, looks pretty good.

The screen will have a diagonal of 4.5 inches and a Qualcomm processor that will run with a 2GHz frequency.

Also, the smartphone will have 3GB of RAM and will offer 32GB of internal memory, reports mobilesyrup.com.

The brand new Mercury evolved from every single point of view, including the cameras.

Apparently, the main camera will have a18 megapixel sensor while the secondary one will include an 8MP sensor.

Steve Cistulli, president and general manager of TCL Communication in North America, presented a teaser of the upcoming product on Twitter, saying that the phone has an impressive design and is quite different from the traditional Blackberry models.

TCL has planned a media event on 4th January.
