Melbourne: a man ran over the pedestrians on a crowded street

Melbourne: a man ran over a group of individuals from a crowded pedestrian street in the city center.

The criminal caused the death of at least three people and the severe injuring of other 20.

The authorities in Melbourne declared the attacker was detained.

According to CNN, the incident is not a terrorist attack.

The attack occurred Friday afternoon at 14.00 Melbourne’s local time.

A spokesperson for the police department, Stuart Bateson, says the man “ran over the pedestrians intentionally”.

Apparently, the incident is strongly linked to a recent stabbing.

However, Bateson believes the incident was not a terrorist act.

He is also ensuring the Australians the danger is over but urged everyone to avoid the area for a while.

“It was so much noise and chaos”

“Suddenly, the police were everywhere and bodies were lying on the street”, said a witness.

Other people who witnessed the scene say gunshots were fired before the arresting.

The information is still to be confirmed.

The emergency service from Melbourne reports that many people are in severe condition.

Among the deceased are a woman, a man, and a child.

According to The Guardian, all three died in different areas of the crossover after the driver turned the car into a different direction.

Other 15 victims are in the hospital and many of them are children.
