Last month, the singer had a meeting with the president-elect Donald Trump which was pretty public as they took pictures for the paparazzi outside Trump Tower. Now, as the inauguration party approaches, fans of the artist can’t help but wonder if he performs or not on Friday.

According to a spokesperson of Trump , Kanye west won’t perform, because his music is not “right for the typically and traditionally American event”. Kanye is not fit for the event, said Tom Barrack, from the Presidential Inauguration Committee.

“He’s been great, he considers himself a friend of the president-elect, but it’s not the venue”, added Barrack.

Although he is a “great guy”, Trump’s staff did not ask the singer to perform in the first place.

It seems odd that Trump does not want Kanye to perform since he is so successful and since he was refused by so many. Trump’s staff worked hard to make artists perform at the inauguration party on January 20.

Until now, Trump has only a small line-up, such as 3 Doors Down, Chrisette Michele, The Radio City Rockettes, Sam Moore, the Piano Guys and a few more. Jon Voight, the Academy Award-wining actor is set to make an appearance on stage.

Trump has also been rejected by many big names, such as Celine Dion. This week, the Broadway star, Jennifer Holliday canceled and so did B Street Band, Bruce Springsteen’s cover band.

Although he has less known artists performing, Hillary and Bill Clinton and Michelle and Barack Obama will be attending the event.

There are only a few hours left until the event Trump has been waiting.
