Berlin Christmas market attacker was shot dead in Milan

The author of the truck attack in Berlin, who caused the deaths of 12 people and injured another 48, was shot in Milan, Italy, as reported Reuters citing some security sources.

The information is contradictory, however. According to Sky News, he would have been surprised in Copenhagen. The announcement had been made by the police Danish, given that the  German authorities claimed that the man is still in Berlin and would not be able to leave the country without being caught, because his face was covered in wounds so he would be easy to identify.

Police officers in Berlin consider that the attacker is Anis Amri, a Tunisian aged 24 years.

According to the latest information published in the foreign press, he would have communicated with Islamic State before the attack occurred and had sought information about building artisanal bombs.

Moreover, he was imprisoned for four years in Italy for setting a school on fire and was arrested three times in Germany, but police had lost trace of him.

The Tunisian was reported to have different identities, including that of Anis Amri.

He was injured during the carnage committed on Monday night and police stated it would offer a €100,000 reward for his capture.

German antiterrorist Prosecutor issued a notice for statewide men haunt to Anis Amri, accompanied by a reward.

‘If you happen to see the sought person, please inform the police. But do not put your own life in danger, that person could be dangerous and armed’, warned the Prosecutor in a statement.
