Trump talks about his plans regarding Muslim ban and registry

It seems that President Elect Donald Trump is standing by his controversial plan to create a registry for Muslims and ban new immigrants to enter the United States.

In a statement made outside his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, Donald Trump did not back down from his plans when asked by a reporter if he had any changes planned after the latest terrorist attack in Berlin.

“You know my plans,” the President-Elect said.

He said that the Berlin attack, which was assumed by the Islamic State, has proved him right.

“All along, I’ve been proven to be right. One hundred percent, correct. What’s happening is disgraceful,” he added to the statement.

He, for a while now, has been the proponent of a temporary ban on any Muslim entering the country and is willing to start a registry of existing Muslims in the country.

This was harshly criticized by Republicans and Democrats alike, which led to his team to try and soften the circumstances of his proposal, by stating the ban will apply only to people coming from countries suspected to have strong ties with terrorist organizations.

But, as his statement this Friday, he seems to plan to keep his original premise, which will lead to a total stop of Muslim immigration, even though he hasn’t explained how he will accomplish this once he is in the Office.

All this is a great source of worry for the Muslims already in United States. They see this a try to resurrect the NSEERS system which is believed by many to unfairly target Muslims.
