The movie giant Disney announced it will start creating short movie series for Snapchat.

The mini-shows are expected to last for 3 up to 5 minutes and will be available in the section Snapchat Discovery.

The first movie will come up on January 3 and it’ll be called ‘Watch Party: The Bachelor’.

Snapchat is a very trending social network, known for its self-destructing messages and may represent a serious competitor to Facebook, regarding the huge number of videos viewed daily on the digital platform.

Snapchat has over 100 million active users every day and 60% of the US citizens aged between 13 and 34 years who own a smartphone are using the app.

The app, which was launched in September 2011 by a group of students from Stanford University, is mainly used for taking pictures or video clips that can be edited or added text messages, then shared with other users.

Snapchat app is for the moment the social media platform with the fastest growing number of users.

In the United States, there are over 58 million Snapchat users, 56 million Twitter users and 54 million Pinterest users.

Snapchat is different from all other social networks because it focuses mostly on short videos. Users can not upload older videos or photos. Snapchat is about now.

People can share their media content in real time and everything that appears on Snapchat disappears within 12 hours.

It doesn’t exist a remaining archive of content as it exists on Facebook or Twitter. It’s just for fun. The videos have a maximum 10 seconds length and if you want to use the snap messaging service you must be very quick because the messages have a single view.
