Mark Zuckerberg is involved in a major scandal. He has made the decision to sue the locals in Hawaii.

Why did he make this decision?

Mark Zuckerberg is suing Hawaii local people to determine them to sell their lands.

By achieving this, Zuckerberg could enlarge his property with 700 acres, according to Honolulu Star-Advertiser, quoted by Mashable.

The Facebook founder has spent $ 100 million to buy his terrain on Kauai Island in 2014, according to Mashable.

His decision caused widespread criticism on social media networks. A pissed-off Twitter user wrote on his personal page that billionaires are awful neighbors.

The court trials have been filed on December 30 in Hawaii.

Consequently, the request is targeting the identification of the local people who are landlords in the proximity of the area owned by Mark Zuckerberg. His main purpose is to oblige the locals to sell their lands.

So, Zuckerberg is planning to make use of a local law, which will allow him to own a property according to a judge’s decision.

Considering the co-owners won’t agree with the imposed conditions, the land will be auctioned.

However, the Hawaiian law of owning land is quite complicated.

In 1850, the local monarchy has allowed people to own lands. So, people chose the places where the parcels could be bought, then inherited from generation to generation.

So, this could cause an extremely odd situation. That is, an acre of 4000 square meters can be owned by hundreds of local people.

It remains to be seen if Mark Zuckerberg can draw some advantages out of this complicated issue.
