Obama"s heart-felt letter to the American people

As the president is leaving the White House after eight amazing years, he has few more words to say to the American people who have stood by his side and who have supported him all this time.

On Thursday, the letter written by Barack Obama was posted. He thanked the Americans and asked them to support the next president and involve in “acts of citizenship”.

“All that I’ve learned in my time in office, I’ve learned from you. You made me a better president, and you made me a better man,” wrote Obama.

He addressed not only the beautiful things that have happened during his eight years in charge, but the tragedies as well. He is happy for the ones that got access to the health care and the ones from the LGBTQ community, who had a chance of getting married. He recalled the military graduations he had seen and he recalled the Charleston massacre.

He reassured the people that although he won’t be president anymore, he will be there “every step of the way.”

Obama will also leave a note for Donald Trump, America’s 45^th president.

The people of America are grateful for him too. During these eight years, he managed to make the United States a better place. The changes that he has done can be seen and have influenced the state in a good way.

This week was very emotional not only for Obama, but for his family and staff too. They all spent time to say their farewells to the White House and to the people. Michelle Obama also thanked for the support. On Wednesday, Obama held one last press conference.

His presence will be greatly missed, but he leaves hope that things will be good and asks the people to trust the future president.
