The US Army is testing a weapon that could destroy every single electronic device in the world

The US Army is working on its newest weapon, specially created to make serious damage in entire cities, but without hurting individuals.

A request from the Pentagon showed that the US militaries want to create an artillery weapon, based on the electromagnetic pulses technology.

Unbeatable technology

The weapon could destroy a large variety of electronic devices and computerized systems.

Initially, such a system may be incorporated in a 155 millimeters projectile and launched by standard weapons. The invention would not harm physical damage to the targeted objective.

Regarding the Pentagon’s request, the weapon must be precise and cheap.

The Defense Department will explore and demonstrate other methods to launch the non-kinetic attack.

The extreme usage of wireless networks for the infrastructure and communication systems are representing an alternative chance of attacking and neutralizing the enemies’ systems, without physically wrecking them.

The precise attacks caused by cargos detonated close to the target are allowing the control over the affected area.

At the same time, it reduces the impact on the electromagnetic weapons.

The US center for Strategic Moves thinks that such a technology is one of the most important operational domains from the wars that are critically affecting the world.

Otherwise, the Center concluded that the Defense Department did not manage to keep the pace with the investments to be made during the last generation.

The report shows that such a technology will be as revolutionary as smartphones once were.

In the same way that the internet and the smartphone industry have redefined today’s world and the way that people are learning, working and interacting, so will developing of these advanced sensors and networks technologies.

They will definitely help the army to gain new advantages before the competitors that won’t be able to keep up with the US, as the report concluded.
