Theresa May to have meeting with Donald Trump

Now, that Trump became the president officially, he expressed his plan to meet with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and talk about a partnership between the two states.

Theresa May is set to come in the United States this Spring or even sooner. She said that she wants to be “frank” when discussing about the importance of NATO and the European Union.

Both May and Trump hope to close a trade deal. May wants to establish a close connection between the two countries, but will fight back Trump when it comes to their conflicting opinions.

Trump declared numerous times that Brexit was a good thing and that the European Union is doomed. He also said that he predicts that all the other EU countries will follow UK’s example. While May totally supports Brexit, she still believes in the EU. She doesn’t want the union to break, she just wants something better for UK.

“I want the EU to continue to be strong and I want to continue to have a close and strategic relationship with the EU,” declared the Prime Minister.

May also weighed on all the comments Trump has made about immigrants or women and said that all that she wants from the meeting is for both of them to “be very frank with each other about what we think.”

As Trump declared that he plans to leave NATO, May wants to discuss about this too and make him understand the importance it has, especially when it comes to security.

Now, they work on the plans for the trip.
