Kylie Jenner and her lip kits raised half a million for charities

Kylie Jenner had a huge success with her lip kits and earned lots of money. In 2016 she was on the Forbes 30 under 30 list. Since she has so much success, she thought she would make a nice gesture for the ones in need too.

In collaboration with Smile Train, the reality star launched a special line of lip kits and all the money raised are going to charities. Until now, she managed to raise about $500,000.

The pale lipstick, named “Smile”, has raised all the money. 100% of the proceedings are going to charity. Smile Train supports a charity that gives children cleft palate surgery for free.

She launched the special edition lipstick on the first Friday in October, on the World Smile Day. That day, the lip kits sold right away. Then, the reality star gave Smile Train a $159,500 check. 638 children will be able to go through the surgery.

This January, after the product was on sale again, Jenner raised about $300,000. With the total sum, about 1800 children will have the chance of going through the surgery.

“Smile Train has been aware of Kylie’s generous heart and her commitment to helping children through her #IAmMoreThan social media campaign and her many visits to children’s hospitals,” said the CEO of Smile Train.

The CEO points toward the importance of a good smile and now, thousands of children that are born with clefts will have the chance at a new life. She is very grateful for the generous heart of Jenner.
