George Michael could have died from an accidental overdose

The legendary British singer George Michael could have died from an accidental overdose of drugs and alcohol.

His childhood friend, Andros Georgiou, have declared this on Tuesday for BBC, as EFE noted.

George Michael began to take ‘hard drugs’ in recent years, was the statement of Andros Georgiou.

While saying this, he completely rejected the possibility that the artist may have committed suicide.

British police said that the autopsy that was performed on his dead body is inconclusive.

Also, the specialists are expecting the results of other tests, in order to determine the exact cause of the singer’s death.

The British star was found dead at his home in Goring-on-Thames, on Christmas.

First, it was believed to have died due to some heart problems.

‘I think he took a great dose of ‘something’. Then, he mixed it with antidepressants, other medications he used and alcohol. His heart simply stopped beating’, said Georgiou.

While confirming that the star was determined to treat himself, Georgiou let everyone glimpse that other people influenced him, ‘pulling him back to the dark side’.

Finally, Georgiou stressed that he wants to find out ‘the truth’ about what happened, including the details about whether the artist ingested substances or not and also their origins.

The British pop star, whose real name was Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou, has sold more than 100 million albums during his career that spanned nearly four decades.

His first solo album “Faith” was released in 1987 and sold 20 million records.

He is reminiscent for his major successes such as ‘Faith’ or ‘Careless Whisper’.

His fame grew as a member of Wham!, known for hits such as ‘Club Tropicana’ and ‘Last Christmas.’
