Singer Janet Jackson gathers her forces after giving birth to her first child on January 3, at the age of 50 years.

‘She feels very lucky that everything went well and that the baby is healthy. Her task was not easy’, said a close source of the artist, soon after Janet gave birth to her child.

Janet Jackson joins a gallery of celebrities who have decided to increase their families at a fairly advanced age. The methods chosen were different: in vitro fertilization, surrogate, adoption and small miracles, as the French website www.gala.fr noted.

Being occupied with their careers, vibrant lives or simply because they have not found their soulmates, many celebrities do not even think of becoming mothers before 40 or 50 years.

To be able to naturally conceive children, doctors insist that the mothers should lead a disciplined life, follow a healthy diet, rich in vitamin C, detoxify regularly and create an environment that helps the fertilization.

So, eating oranges, kiwi, tomatoes, lemons and especially broccoli could be really helpful. Of course, this doesn’t solve all the infertility problems. But, sometimes miracles happen. As happened to actress Alessandra Martines, who gave birth to a boy at the age of 49 years.

For others, however, in vitro fertilization (IVF) is mandatory for getting pregnant. In this case, twin pregnancies are very common: Geena Davis had twins at 48 years, just as Marcia Cross or presenter Carole Rousseau did, both at the age of 45 years.

Surrogate mothers could be a very common method, too. Take, for example, the case of actress Sarah Jessica Parker, who gave birth to twins in June 2009, or, more recently, Ellen Pompeo, Grey’s Anatomy actress, who became a mother at 47 years by the same method.
