Facebook might develop a mind-reading device

Last year, Facebook revealed it has a division called “Building 8” that specializes in the development of new devices.

The division creates software, hardware and content, but not only that. It is said that is working on a super-secret mind reading device.

On a job site, the company posted an advert for two jobs in “Building 8”. They look for a “brain-computer interface engineer” that can work two years for a project in the division. The project consists in developing BCI advanced technologies.

‘Machine learning methods, including encoding and decoding models, to neuroimaging and electrophysiological data” are required for the job. Other details aren’t available.

They also look after a “neural imaging engineer” that will help develop “novel non-invasive neuroimaging technologies”.

The jobs are located in California. According to reports, “Building 8” monitors the brain to see how videos and photographs change its activity.

The founder and CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, implied before that he works on a technology like this. He wants to develop the “ultimate communication technology.” He wants to make possible the share of thoughts from one to another by using technology.

“You’ll just be able to think of something and your friends will immediately be able to experience it too, if you’d like.,” added Zuckerberg.

The CEO is working on lots of new technologies and hopes to change the world. Recently, he announced his resolution for 2017 and says that he wants to travel across US, meet people and see what he can do to help them. By reaching to them, he hopes to come up with new technology ideas.
