According to Variety, the rapper is going to collaborate with Weinstein Company to produce a movie and a documentary about the death of Trayvon Martin. In fact, various television projects are going to be inspired by the shocking death of the 17-year-old.

Their upcoming projects are based on two books to which they recently got the rights. One of the books Is written by Lisa Bloom, a journalist from NBC, who reported everything about the case. In the book, she explains why prosecutes did not win the case.

The other book is written by the parents of the teenager. They write about his childhood and the experience they went through after their beloved boy passed away.

Martin was only 17 when he was deadly shot by a neighbor. He was from Florida and his death occurred exactly five years ago. George Zimmerman is the name of his killer. The man lived in the same neighborhood. Hours before shooting him to death, he called the police saying that Martin had a suspicious behavior.

What is so controversial about this is the fact that the murderer was not charged at first. The police thought that this was a case of self defense. The whole case was very controversial, and the parents of the death had to fight a lot for their justice. Eventually, the murderer was charged.

Martin’s death sparked the movement entitled Black Lives Matter to which the rapper is very close. Last year alone he donated more than 1.5 million dollars.
