Although he got fired from Leicester a few weeks ago, Claudio Ranieri is still believed to be one of the best managers that the football world has ever seen.

The former Leicester manager is set to receive a huge honor, The Golden Bench.

At the beginning of the next week, Ranieri will be honored by other coaches from his homeland, Italy. It looks like awards keep on pouring.

A spokesperson from the football federation from Italy declared that what made them decide to honor him is the way he handled the team, Leicester, when winning the Premier League title.

The victory at the Premier league was fantastic and proved the amazing talent Ranieri has a manager. In spite of this, Leicester decided that it’s time for him to leave.

The owners of the club were the ones to fire him after some feuds emerged outside the curtains. Apparently, Ranieri was not getting along too well with his assistant, Craig Shakespeare and some members of the team didn’t like him too much.

In order to avoid other misunderstandings, Ranieri was fired. Shakespeare is now in charge of the club until the end of the season and has done a great job so far.

Although his club did not value him properly, the Football world does. Last year, he received the FIFA award for the best coach of the year, while BBC Sports recognized him at the awards for the Personality of the Year.

Italy must the proudest one as they keep on honoring him. At the end of 2016, they named him the coach of the year.
