Johanna Konta just made history at Miami Open. The Brit becomes the first woman from the UK to reach the semi-finals at Miami Open.

What brought her here is the stunning victory against Romanian Simona Halep. The Brit delivered a spectacular game and won with the following scores: 3 to 6, 7 to 6 and 6 to 2.

But winning against Halep was not easy. The Romanian was just as good on the field and even reached tie at one point with the Brit.

Halep said a few words after the game. She declared that she is not sad for losing as Jo is much more in the rhythm than her.

Jo revealed that her secret to winning is being focused and working really hard. She doesn’t stress too much when she is on the field, she likes to keep a positive attitude as it helps her a lot.

In the semi-finals, Jo is going to face one of the best Tennis players. She will have to play against fierceless Venus Williams.

The game against the 36-year-old is going to be pretty tough. Venus just won against Angelique Kerber, the number 1 Tennis player in the world.

Venus is definitely a strong competitor. Last January, she reached the finals at the Australian Open where she played against her younger sister, Serena. The 36-year-old already revealed that she gets pretty aggressive on the field, so Jo would better watch out.

The match between the two is set to take place tonight.

Caroline Wozniaki will face in another semi-final match Karolina Kurkova.
