Melania Trump holds speech at the International Women of Courage Award

The FLOTUS just took the stage at the International Women of Courage Award and delivered an amazing speech. Melania Trump addressed in her speech various matters.

She called for women empowerment and for the end of the violence against them. This speech is pretty rare, as she rarely attends such events.

Thirteen women were honored for their incredible courage and for how well they promoted human rights. One woman that was honored this day is Natalia Ponce de Leon, who had acid thrown on her face.

This awful event did not stop her and she became an advocate for human rights, who now fights for the ones that go through similar situations.

In her speech, Melania praised these remarkable females, who are heroes and who remind of the capacity the human spirit has.

The FLOTUS said that these women and their fight give an amazing example of how everyone should look inside themselves and find the courage to get to the truth.

She called for leaders to join her in fighting against discrimination. She believes that everyone is equal, no matter the race or background. Melania said a few very important words: “we are all members of one race: the human race.”

As the First Lady, Melania would like to take advantage of this position to fight for women empowerment. She wants to put an end to the violence against females and she wants to give them rights.

The FLOTUS’ speech has been truly inspiring. In this day, Melania chose to wear a symbolic color, white, the one that many women chose to wear in key moments. For example, Hillary Clinton chose white quite a few times.
