Yesterday, the Republican party announced that they are no longer holding the vote to repeal Obamacare as they could not get enough supporters.
From everyone, president Donald Trump must be the most upset one as he urged the party for quite a while to hold the vote. Even on Thursday, the president gave an ultimatum to the party: either vote or you will stick with Obamacare. It looks like the party chose the latter.
The bill the Republicans came with is entitled the American Health Care Act. They were supposed to hold the vote yesterday, but Democrats were totally against this new system.
Paul Ryan, the Speaker, contacted the president before giving the news to everyone. He informed him that they are pulling the vote.
Of course, Trump responded. He declared that this is entirely the Democratic party’s fault. They were the ones that did not offer their support although the Republicans have the majority both in the House and in the Senate.
The president also threatened that Obamacare is only going to get more trouble. He named a few Democrats, such as Nancy Pelosi, who are going to be the main losers.
Ryan concluded by saying that this was a huge disappointment. They almost succeeded with the law, but the votes were not enough. He also declared that Obamacare will continue to exist for quite a while.
Meanwhile, Trump is moving on from this. He is going to leave the health care system behind and is now looking to come up with a tax reform.
