The star of “Married with Children”, Katey Sagal opens up about her longtime battle with drug addiction.

For more than fifteen years, the 63-year-old actress battled this addiction. After such a long time, Katey is finally ready to share her story with the public.

The beloved actress is going to release a memoir, entitled “Grace Notes: My Recollections”, where she will dish everything about her addiction.

Sagal has dealt with these issues from a young age. She was addicted to several substances: cocaine, pills and alcohol. All of these combined seriously messed up her life.

In her upcoming book, Katey writes about the time when she started to consume different substances. At only twelve years old, the actress started taking pills.

She remembers that she used to be neighbors with Judy Garland and her daughter, Lorna. While their mothers were sleeping in the afternoon, the two would take pills that they left by the bed.

In the same book, Sagal opens up about her relationship with Gene Simmons, who is part of ‘Kiss”. The two met at her job, she used to be a waitress. They dated for a while, she thought that he was very weird, but she liked him. At that time, Gene wasn’t famous and neither was she.

Sagal recalls that Gene laughed at the idea of marrying her, which broke her heart.

This book is definitely packed with a lot of the actress’ secrets, some of them dark and unknown still. After so many years, Katey finally had the guts to tell her story.
