Nicola Sturgeon blasts "reckless" Theresa May after Brexit

It looks like the First Minister of Scotland still doesn’t accept Brexit. After it took effect yesterday, Nicola Sturgeon responded and blasted Theresa May for her ‘reckless’ behavior.

She said that the UK Prime Minister cannot fight for the self-determination of the country while she denies Scotland’s right to have a referendum.

For quite a while, Mrs. Sturgeon kept on talking about the independence referendum she wants to have. Even if for a while she seemed like she abandoned that thought, it looks like she is now more keen than ever to hold it and is going to do everything to get it.

Her main problem right now is Mrs. May, who does not want Scotland to have a referendum. She wants the United Kingdom to be united during these times, she needs the support of everybody.

Right now, all that the Prime Minister wants is to get a good deal from Brussels and for that she needs support from everyone.

While May fights for the deal, Sturgeon pushes for the referendum. She believes that her people have the right to choose their own future. Right this week, The Scottish parliament voted to hold a discussion with the parliament of the UK on this matter.

She thinks that May’s choice to block her country’s self-determination when asking for the UK’s right is “democratically indefensible”.

These times are pretty tough for the UK as the deals just began and continue to take place for two years. It’s still not sure what is going to happen with Scotland after all.
