The Christmas tree is usually a green tree decorated with natural or artificial items, traditionally associated with the celebration of Christmas.

Is brought into homes and decorated with Christmas lights, ornaments, garlands, candies and sweets right before Christmas.

The tradition says that the Christmas tree is decorated on Christmas Eve, December 24.

An angel or a star can be placed on top of the tree, representing angels or the Star of Bethlehem.

In time, the Christmas trees were decorated in different ways, as is the case of the golden jewel worth 1.7 million euros.

So, is it really possible? Well yes! It is the creation of a jewelry shop in Tokyo that manufactured the tree with pure gold, both the socket and ornaments to make such craft worth Japanese archipelago an eye-popping amount, according to AFP.

The tree has two meters tall and the technique to create this tree is entirely different and pioneer: it is articulated around a trunk with five hexagons, whose size decreases as you try to reach the top of the star. Below, hangs a lot of filaments of hair, which resemble with the hair of an angel.

According to the workshop located in the chic district of Ginza, for the 19 kilograms tree, the manufacturer used over 1.200 meters of pure gold thread.

‘These wires are composed of gold with a purity of 99.99%’, explained Takahiro Ito, the workshop manager.

Although we do not know who will be the potential buyer, Takahiro Ito hopes the Christmas tree will highlight the talent of Japanese artisans: ‘We want to show our exceptional technique and our craft alongside glittering beauty of gold’.
