He is on fire right now! Tom Hardy is set to play the role of Al Capone.

The most famous gangster of all times was also labeled as a literal symbol of money laundering and other numerous obscure deals, which occurred in the United States in 1900.

Tom Hardy, who was nominated for an Oscar, will play Al Capone in ‘Fonzo’.

‘Fonzo’ is a massive project initiated by the American writer and director Josh Trank, best known for ‘Chronicle’ and ‘Fantastic Four’.

The film will focus on Capone’s life at the age of 47, after almost ten years in prison and dementia starts to destroy his brain and his past starts to haunt him.

‘Fonzo will display the unclean myth and All Capone’s dirty knowledge, the supreme gangster portrayed by Tom Hardy’, said a representative of the production team.

Alphonse Gabriel ‘Al’ Capone was born on January 17, 1899, in Brooklyn, New York and passed away on January 25, 1947, in Palm Beach, Florida.

The Al Capone was one of the most famous American gangsters during 1920-1930.

Son of a family of Italian immigrants from Naples, Al Capone dominated the underworld of Chicago, becoming the leader of a large criminal organization (Chicago Outfit), cashing their biggest incomes from illegal gambling in clandestine brothels. During the Prohibition regime in the U.S, the illegal trafficking of alcohol, plus the extorting of money for protection taxes were Al Capone’s main financial resources.
