Russia’s readiness to develop relations with the United States after the presidential elections taking place on Tuesday will depend on the extent to which Washington will be ready for it, said Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin, quoted by Reuters.

Moscow is ready to move forward in terms of restoring and developing relations with the United States in so much as it is prepared Washington, Peskov reiterated in a press conference in Moscow, according to TASS.

In this context, he reminded that the Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly said that Moscow is interested in developing relations with the United States.

Asked whether Washington should take the first step in restoring relations with Moscow, a Kremlin spokesman said: ‘Here, the political will is rather important’, according to a Russian news agency.
