Amazon: the employees from Germany and Italy have gone on a strike

The Amazon employees in Italy and Germany have gone on a strike for Black Friday, denouncing the miserable work conditions and the over demanding extra hours, writes Reuters.
The unions have announced that a group of 500 employees from Piacenza, have joined forces and launched a strike.
The Amazon headquarters in Piacenza, the largest in Italy has a total number of 1.600 workers since it officially opened its doors in Italy.
Meanwhile, the union from Germany has announced a strike at the online giant’s six distribution centers across the country.
They accuse Amazon of wanting a remarkable Black Friday performance, although most employees have not benefited from a day off for months.
On the other hand, Italian employees have announced that they will no longer accept to work overtime until December 31st.
Most of them are dissatisfied with the bonuses they have received until now and demand a renegotiation.
Amazon Italy has announced that it is trying to deliver customer orders in the upcoming days.
Electronic commerce has grown rapidly in Italy and has reached 10% of total retail sales.
Black Friday shopping opens the holiday shopping season, the busiest season of the year, but also the most profitable.
