Harvey Weinstein’s disturbing behavior remained as a well-kept secret inside the Hollywood elite for almost a decade.

Actors such as Matt Damon, Russell Crowe, Ben Affleck, or director Quentin Tarantino knew Harvey Weinstein was into and yet they have chosen to keep their mouths shut for years, writes ABC Spain.

The first person who found out about the abuses and decided to do something about it was Woody Allen’s only biological son, Ronan Farrow.

Mia Farrow’s son worked as an investigative reporter at The New Yorker and he agreed to go public with the shocking story even though he knew Weinstein was his father’s benefactor.

However, after months of investigating, his story was rejected due to a “lack of consistency”.

30 actresses and models, including Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow, had to come clean about their experiences with the movie producer in order to put Weinstein in his place.

Ronan Farrow, however, had a personal reason to unmask one of his father’s main allies.

For a short time, Woody Allen was ignored by the most influential people from Hollywood due to a series of allegations launched by Mia.

After the movie industry turned his back, Woody finally found someone to rely on, the only person willing to finance his projects.

Harvey Weinstein and Allen began a prolific collaboration culminating through one of his masterpieces “Bullets over Broadway” (1994).

Meanwhile, Ronan Farrow found out that two journalists from The New York Times were following the same thread, and they had learned the same facts he had discovered months ago.

Farrow addressed the newspaper, denouncing his father’s “benefactor” and criticizing the entire system.
